Skiing in Zweisimmen

The ski resort «Gstaad Mountain Rides», which extends from Zweisimmen through to Schönried to Gstaad, offers 250 kms of slope fun (with a snow park). The village of Zweisimmen is a cozy and picturesque village where winter sports enthusiasts will feel right at home. One of the advantages the village has to offer is the cable car, which leaves from the city centre straight to the top of the Rinderberg. Skiing from village to village is possible in many variations and in addition the numerous (mountain) restaurants provide plenty of opportunity for delight.

The Montreux – Berner Oberland – Bahn (train) line links Zweisimmen with the valley stations of the ski lifts of the skiing arena of Gstaad Mountain Rides. The nearby mountain-plateau Sparenmoos provides 38 km of cross-country trails and is also the starting point of the 7 km long sledge course, which leads down to Zweisimmen. Numerous winter walking trails provide for further diversity, so that hikers also get their money’s worth.

Illuminated slopes

For several years now, the Rinderberg has an illuminated slope from the middle station down to the valley, offering a truly unique experience. Usually, depending on snow conditions, the track is open once a week, in the evening. The cable car is admissible for a small fee. For a small fee you may use them. An experience in itself.

Zweisimmen is close to Lenk/Adelboden and Gstaad. By car, bus or train, they are easily accessible and there are opportunities to upgrade your ski pass to gain access to these other ski areas. The train can be used to get to other places in the ski resort Gstaad Mountain Rides. Zweisimmen has its own train station and with a multi-day ski pass the trains are free to use until 18:00, within the ski resort of Gstaad Mountain Rides.
